Deep opaque purple to transparent violet crystal. Can come as geodes, clusters, single points, raw and tumbled forms.

Typically used on the Crown and 3rd Eye.

Healing uses

Amethyst can be used to support sleep as it can alleviate insomnia as well as depression. It can cleanse the blood, support physical health, and promote spiritual wisdom.

Gaining its name from the ancient Greek ‘Amethystos’ (meaning ‘not drunk’), it has a sobering affect on overindulgence, supporting sobriety. 

It can also help with overcoming addiction and dependency. NOTE: Amethyst gets its name from the ancient Greek ‘Amethystos’ (meaning ‘not drunk’) because it is believed to reduce the effects of alcohol.

What do Arte's Den like to use Amethyst for?

Amethyst is a firm favourite here at Arte's Den! We love to use it when insomnia strikes as well as during healing sessions for the 3rd Eye and Crown Chakra's. 

Why have Amethyst? 

Why not?! Amethyst is such a brilliant all round crystal. Although predominantly used on the Crown and 3rd Eye Chakras, it can be used all over the body to aid healing and it's beautiful, too.
