The Tiwaz Rune; Honour your commitments to enjoy a lasting bond
Tiwaz, also known as Teiwaz, Tyr or Tiw.
The run of commitment. Named after the Norse god of war and justice. In symbolism it is linked to Polaris, the North Star.
The Anglo-Saxon Rune Poem states: "Tiw is a guiding star, well does it keep faith, it is ever on course over the merits of night and never fails."
It is the rune of promises and vows; these are not to be made lightly because anything indicated by this rune is of a firm and unbreakable nature.
